A Sharp Sword? Part I

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart, Hebrews 4:12.

Any bible not sharp enough to divide the soul and the spirit of someone is not the word of God. I often hear the argument that there is enough truth in the other versions to guide a person to Christ. For this post, I will leave that argument alone. What becomes more and more clear as I read about faux revivals, mega-churches, inflated soul-winning numbers that never correspond to an increase in church membership or attendence, and the unsanctified lives of those who currently attend churches, the more I realize that people are not really being converted to Christ.

Churches are growing as people seek a cultural affiliation with Christianity in one form or another. Joining a church is a healthy social activity that can give a family a sense of belonging, a good social circle, a sense of purpose, and instill goals in their lives. Joining a bowling league can do the same thing.

From the standpoint of the devil, educating the general public in the doubts about the origins of the King James Bible that hitherto fore had only been discussed or taught in seminaries, was a brilliant stroke.

Romans 10:14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Roman 10:15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!

Roman 10:16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

Roman 10:17 So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Any person who advocates for the new versions or who questions the translation of the King James Bible is a tool to undermine Romans 10:14-17. In the 1880s the Revised Version found a place in the churches and began to slowly displace the naive, but ultimately true public belief in the infallibility of the King James Bible. Today our governments, media, and society as a whole are degenerate hell holes of Sodom and Gomorrah-like stature. The new versions and the concepts behind them have done hell's work.

Nature abhors a vacuum. As belief in an infallible bible waned, trust in Darwinism and variant degrees of Marxism grew. As the science of birth control progressed, there was no ultimate authority to guide moral questions as to its use. The longer I live and the more I counsel with married couples, the more I realize that very few couples come together as virgins.

I no longer am shocked when I discover that a couple who met in a good church, courted in that church, were married in that church, nevertheless began their sexual relationship prior to marriage. There is a minority that only had relations with each other prior to marriage, but to find a couple that actually waited to make a covenant and to share a common name before they began swapping DNA is very rare. The corrosive effect of that behaviour tends to grow as their marriage goes on.

A young lady's most sacred earthly relationship prior to marriage is with her parents. Her loyalty to her father's authority is sacred. Any young man who undermines that prior to marriage and fornicates with his bride-to-be, in actuality sows the seeds of the dissolution of his own marriage as she transfers the sacredness of her loyalty to her father and mother to her new husband. He is the idiot who taught her that such loyalties and fidelity were subject to whims of the moment.

For the world at large, the undermining of all sexual morality has been devastating. 60 years after the sexual revolution was launched through modern birth control, the lack of any final authority in the general populace has degenerated into a cesspool. And when Moses saw that the people were naked; (for Aaron had made them naked unto their shame among their enemies:), Exodus 32:25. Moses had been the final authority up until that point. When they began to doubt that he would ever return, the devil did what he loves to do. He perverted the people.

The new versions are the golden calf of our generation.
